Opus VIII – Amouage
The Library Collection is a line that follows a path distinct from the classic collection of Amouage and is intended as a library of emotions, hidden treasures that arouse our desire to discover, to learn.
The new chapter, Opus VIII, is an evocative exploration of the subconscious dialogue between illusion and reality, a reflection on the theme of appearance. A trompe-l'oeil, or a visual game always hovering between fantasy and truth.
By paying meticulous attention to detail, Creative Director Christopher Chong has masterfully composed this floral-woody fragrance ¬ creating an olfactory pyramid saturated with precious ingredients from all over the world. Everything that appears might be imagination or objectivity.
Opus VIII has a beginning dall'aurea golden smell confusing for citrus juice but it is actually a bouquet of flowers composed of Sambac jasmine from India, Ylang-Ylang Islands Comoros and Orange Blossom Morocco.
The heart contradictory, notes with a long finish usually used on the final formula to stabilize the fragrance, evokes a deep and intriguing abstract: Saffron, Ginger and Incense.
The final short is in contrast to the tradition of long-tailed Amouage fragrances: Benzoino, Resina Aromatica, Bay Rum e Vetiver.
The white lit by small specks of gold in the bottle ¬, is the golden light of the fragrance. The outer packaging is characterized by a design fl ¬ Doreale black and white embossed with the image of fl ¬ acone to create the optical illusion of a trompe-l'oeil.
